A mother's love is eternal, and Heather McManamy proved it in the most beautiful and creative way possible. This brave Wisconsin woman, diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, decided to turn her challenge into an opportunity to be present in her daughter's life, even after she was gone.

Letters for every special moment

With unwavering determination and a heart brimming with love, Heather embarked on the task of writing more than 40 letters for her little girl. These missives, true emotional treasures, are meant to accompany her daughter through crucial moments in her life: from the excitement of getting her driver's license to her wedding day, and even offering comforting advice for her first heartbreak in love.

Although Heather left this world in 2015, her joyful spirit and sense of humor live on in every word she wrote. Her final message, shared by her husband Jeff, is a touching testament to her positive outlook on life: “I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that, apparently, I'm dead. The good news, if you're reading this, is that you're definitely not (unless they have wifi in the afterlife).”Tengo buenas y malas noticias. La mala noticia es que, aparentemente, estoy muerta. La buena noticia, si estás leyendo esto, es que definitivamente tú no lo estás (a menos que tengan wifi en el más allá)«.

An act of love from beyond

Today, Jeff continues Heather's mission of love by delivering these letters to her daughter at appropriate times. Each opened envelope is a hug from her mother, a tangible reminder of unconditional love that transcends time and circumstance.

Valuing every moment

Heather's story reminds us that true love always finds a way to express itself, even in the face of the greatest challenges. Her legacy lives on not only in the letters she left behind, but in the inspiration she provides to all of us to cherish every moment and express our love in creative and lasting ways.
